The Green Growth approach is not limited to the conceptual framework but achievable in reality. Therefore conducting pilot implementation projects has particularly crucial significance, because the project is to translate the Green Growth concept into action. Through the implementation of the pilot project, the best practices specifically tailored to the region will be assembled.
Every country in the Asia-Pacific region is eligible to be supported by UNESCAP in implementing pilot projects. UNESCAP is looking for a number of project proposals to be implemented. Developing practical guidelines or policy recommendations for specific environmental areas would be suitable topics as pilot projects. During 2007-2010, the projects to promote eco-efficient resource management to cope with climate change and integrate climate change concerns into relevant national policies and/or plan are encouraged.
