1) Be nominated by their governmental organizations, in accordance with the procedure to be mentioned below in III.2, the Procedure for Application; |
|
2) Be a mid-career government official and/or policymaker of the nominating country (Be younger than fifty years old); |
|
03) Have a university degree (equivalent to at least a Bachelor degree); |
|
04) Preferably have some background in environment and/or economics, and a minimum of five-year relevant work experience; |
|
05) Be able to understand lectures delivered in English and participate in discussions in English; |
|
06) Be in good health, both physically and mentally, to complete the course |
|

| Participants are required to: |
|
01) Return to their home country at the end of the programme according to the international travel schedule set by EHRD |
|
02) Refrain from engaging in political activities or any form of employment for profit or gain during your stay in the Republic of Korea; and |
|
03) Observe the training and accommodation rules, e.g. remain at the accommodations designated by EHRD for the duration of your stay |

| Governments that wish to nominate participants should select one or two participants, fill in the application form (refer to the Annex 1.), and send it to UNESCAP by Friday, 7 September, 2007 by email or fax to: |

| EHRD, the managing organization,, will send more detailed information on the themes and guidelines for Country Report and Group Discussion by the mid of September. |
